TILE CARE AND DAILY MAINTENANCE

General maintenance and cleaning of our tiles will vary depending on the tiles' surface texture and what kind of dirt, spill or surface stain.

The general cleaning regime should be performed by:

1. Sweeping or vacuuming floor tiles to remove dirt etc.

2. Damp mop floor tiles with clean water.

3. Use a general household cleaner followed by a thorough mopping with clean water.

Do not use cleaner or detergent that contains acid or bleaching compounds.Hydrochloric acid, also known as muriatic acid and hydrofluoric acid, can also damage the glazed surface of tiles and colour grout.

There are five critical steps for successfully maintaining Ceramic and Porcelain tiles:

1. All spills should be cleaned as quickly as possible.

2. Follow strictly to the recommended dilution stated on the detergent and instruction guide, including the timing of the procedure.

3. Do not use scrub, nylon pad, or bristle brush, especially for polished and glazed surfaces.

4. Do not leave the dirty detergent solution to dry on the tile surface, as a coating may form on the tile surface which is very difficult to remove.

5. Rinse and mop the floor tiles with clean, clear water to remove the dirty detergent solution.
